Generally, when the uric acid in the blood is high than 360umol/L, it is
regards as uricemia. In clinical, it is diagnosed as uricemia when the uric acid
level is high than 390umol/L, when the uric acid level is above 420umol/L, it is
definitely uricemia. The uric acid level of most gout patients is above
420umol/L. on the pathophysiology, it has reached the super saturation state. At
this time, the high level f uric acid in the body can easily to deposit in the
tissues and cause gout. The danger of the non-symptom uricemia is the attack of
gout, at last, there may occurs kidney stones. It is generally regarded that
there is no need to treat the uricemia, while it doesn’t mean leave it alone.
After all, it is abnormal. And the long term uric acid level may cause the uric
acid crystal, the deposition of which in the pelvis, ureter and kidney tubules
may cause the damage to kidneys and cause kidney stones.
Then how to decrease the high level of uric acid?
Patients with high level of uric acid can take medicines to decrease the uric
acid, such as benzbromarone and allopurinol. But if we can decrease the level of
uric acid by reasonable diets, it is an ideal choice.
1, supply enough carbohydrate and fat. And if there is no harm to the heart
and kidney, patients can drink a large amount of water.
2, as for the cook methods, patients should use more methods like braise,
boil, decoct, steam and quick-boil. Don’t use the method of fry. And make the
food easy to be digested as much as possible.

6, keep the weight in the ideal level. If the patients are overweight or
obesity, they should lose some weight. But pay attention to that the
weight-losing should be progressive and step by step. Otherwise, this may lead
to ketosis ot the sudden attack of gout.
7, as for the intake of protein, it should be according to the patients’
weight. The reasonable proration is 0.8-1.0g protein/kg weight. And the protein
should be dominated by milk and egg white. As for the fish and poultry, it
should be boiled then eaten without soup. Fricassee and braised pork are
