Latest Discovery for Polycystic Kidney Disease Treatment
Kidney experts in Kidney Disease Hospital China have found what they call 'Immunotherapy' that plays a vital role in shrinking renal cysts and treating Polycystic Kidney Disease through eliminating the underlying cause.
Experts hope that the new discovery would be a crucial step towards a cure for fatal PKD.
"Though PKD is not an immune disease, we have found that the development of the disease is closely associated with the immune system defect." said Dr. Zhang, who has been engaged in kidney disease research and treatment for more than 30 years.
"If people with PKD can receive prompt treatment, Immunotherapy can help us reverse the illness through immune system regulation," he added.
Dr. Zhang said that not anyone who carry the fault genes will develop this disease. The disease occurs when there is immune system defect, and the genes get the harm to the immune system like a cold, flu, bleeding, or infections and so on.
The lining cells related to the cysts will escape the immune system's monitor, and then proliferate greatly and fast. With gradual production of cystic fluid by the lining cells, the cysts become enlarged over time.
"If we can have a good control of lining cells, the cysts of PKD will stop to grow," Dr. Zhang said. What to do to prevent cysts from rupturing in PKD patients
"Immunotherapy is the latest discover for PKD, and it includes several steps in treating the disease. Based on the individual's personalized condition, specific steps will be adopted to treat the disease."
"Altogether, clinical practises have shown that this new therapy can help patients eliminate the symptoms so various discomforts will disappear gradually. Moreover, through preventing the cysts enlargement, shrinking the cysts gradually and repair the damaged kidneys, PKD can be treated effectively."
"We hope that this work will lead to new ways of treating both kidney injury and Polycystic Kidney Disease," he added.

Diverticulosis and Adult PKD
Autosomal Dominant (Adult) PKD is one of the commonest genetic diseases. In America, there are five hundred thousand sufferers with this disorder. 50 percent of them will be in Renal Failure by the age of 60. 10 percent of all people undergoing dialysis are doing so due to this disease. Here, we mainly talk about an gastrointestinal complication of Adult PKD, diverticulosis.
Diverticulosis
Diverticula are small herniations or pouches (sacs) that may develop in the wall of the large intestines. When these herniations are filled with feces, the feces can get trapped there and become not be eliminated with the rest of the bowel movement.
Diverticulosis is used to describe the condition that there are many diverticula. This occurs more often in people with PKD who are on dialysis or have had a kidney transplant than any other renal disease. Also, these persons tend to have more complications from this condition like infection called diverticulitis.
Apart from the digestive system, Adult PKD may cause other systemic problems through affecting the excretory system and cardiovascular system.
Excretory system
Healthy kidneys are responsible for filtering the blood, reabsorbing 98 percent of the filtrate and regulating the blood composition. In addition, the kidneys can produce important hormones like erythropoietin, renin, and calcitriol. Renin is a vital hormone which can regulate the blood pressure.
Cardiovascular system
Adult PKD can also affect the cardiovascular system, as it puts the person at risk for high blood pressure, intracranial aneurysms, and MVP. With persistent and long-term high blood pressure, heart damage can be caused. About 50 percent of patients with PKD die from the heart and vascular complications of PKD, not Kidney Failure.

D: Yes, in China, we have help many patients with PKD reverse the disease. How about your current treatment?
P: I am taking medicines prescribed by my doctor. He told me that there is no treatment for PCKD.
D: In many countries, patients are tole that there is no treatment for the disease and few hospital would like to offer treatment. Nearly all of patients with PCKD have to wait for dialysis when the disease develop into renal failure stage.
P: Is there a an alternative methods for my disease?
D: Yes, we can control the disease before it becomes too severe and patients can avoid dialysis in the future. This is Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy.
P: Is this a guaranteed treatment? Can it cure my illness?
D: Yes, there is guarantee technology for our treatment. To be honest, currently, no treatment can change gene problem and cure PCKD. Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can control the cysts enlargement and numerous clinical practices have shown this effect.
P: No idea, but I'd like to know more things about your therapy.
D: Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is an external application. Through methods of activating blood circulation and improving permeability of cysts wall, removing toxins and blood stasis, inhibiting the cyst fluid secretion and increasing the reabsorption of cysts fluid, we can control cysts enlargement and shrink them gradually.

Polycystic Kidney (PCKD) and Gout
People with impaired kidney health are at a greater risk of hyperuricemia, and are therefore more prone to experiencing gout attacks. The reason is that when the kidneys fail to function adequately, they are not able to process and remove excessive uric acid from the body, causing it to build up in the blood and eventually crystallize in the joints. Persons are most likely to develop gout as a result of a kidney disorder - Polycystic Kidney, or PCKD.
Polycystic Kidney Disease is the most commonly genetic form of kidney disease. Symptoms include pain in the back, kidney area or lower side, headaches, UTIs and blood in the urine. Which Polycystic Kidney Disease Symptom Are You Suffering?
Once patients with Polycystic Kidney (PCKD) are affected by gout, their risk for developing kidney stones also increase. Between 10%~40% of patients will experience kidney stones at any one time after they have suffered from hyperuricemia.
The build up of uric acid can also result in more severe problems for the kidneys. Chronic uric acid interstitial nephropathy will appear when there is an accumulation of uric acid crystals to the point that they block the excretion of water from the kidney. What's worse, a sudden increase in extra uric acid can cause full Renal Failure.
To prevent the occurrence of gout in Polycystic Kidney (PCKD), patients can adopt standard treatment to slow the growth of renal cysts and shrink them gradually.
In addition, make some changes in the daily diet by including more vitamin C with abilities to reduce uric acid levels in the body. Drink sufficient amount of water to keep the body well hydrated all the time, and this can help the kidneys to remove the unwanted substances.

Reason for Bleeding or Rupture of Cysts from Adult PKD
Autosomal dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease is one of the most common inherited disorders. If one parent has the disease, there is a 50% chance that the disease will pass to a child. At least one parent must have the disorder for a child to inherit it. Many persons with this disease live for decades without presenting symptoms. For this reason, it is often called "Adult PKD". Here, we mainly introduce the reason for bleeding or rupture of cysts from this disease.
Cause of bleeding in Adult PKD
Bleeding or hemorrhage is a much common problems in patients with ADPKD. The volume of bleeding is different from case to case. Over 60% of patients experience once hemorrhage during the whole life.
In this case, there may be no symptoms or merely pain of abdomen when there is a bleeding. Risk factors for this condition include hypertension (high blood pressure) and enlarged kidneys. A severe hemorrhage may also occur due to infections and stress.
Cause of rupture of cysts in Adult PKD
▪ Enlarged cysts. Without effective treatment, the cysts will grow continuously over time. Patients have risk of cysts rupture with large enough cysts. (Shrink PKD Cysts with Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy)
▪ Smoking cigarette and drinking alcohol. Both of the factors act ac trigger for cysts enlargement, which may cause the burst of cysts.
▪ Cold or infections. They may affects the curative effects of the disease. In severe cases, cysts rupture can be caused.
▪ Constipation. This is a dangerous condition for persons with large renal cysts.
Recognizing the causes of bleeding and rupture of cysts in Adult PKD, we can take measures to prevent and cope with these conditions. Is there anything unclear? Consult our online experts for free help.

Polycystic Kidney Disease and Flaxseed Oil
Flaxseed oil is a natural occurring oil which is derived from the seeds of a blue flowering plant called flax. It is grown in the prairies of western Canada and in the northwest US. There are many nutritional benefits for those who consume it regularly. Is it good for people with Polycystic Kidney Disease?
Flaxseed oil has been shown to help ease the symptoms of PKD. It is an excellent source of a group of fatty acids (omega-3-fatty acids) that are considered to have anti-hypertensive, lipid-lowering and anti-inflammatory effects. All these benefits can help reduce inflammation and slow the progression of PKD.
Benefits of flaxseed oil also include as below:
1. Lower blood pressure. Study revealed modest but notable reduction in blood pressure in persons consuming 2 grams of omega-3 fatty acids each day.
2. Reduce triglyceride levels. High omega-3 fatty acids diet also improve the proportion of bad cholesterol, or low-density lipoproteins, to good fat, or high-density lipoproteins in the blood.
3. Decrease the risk of heart disease. It contain a high quantity of alphalinolenic acid (ALA), which is believed to have direct heart health benefits, such as reducing the risk of irregular heart beat.
4. Improve bone health. ALA can prevent bone loss and inflammation.
In the daily diet, people with PKD should avoid foods as below:
▪ Avoid excessive quantity of salt. This includes products such as processed foods soups, chips and soy sauce.
▪ Avoid caffeine that can be found in coffee, chocolate, black tea, green tea, white tea, cola, etc.
▪ Limit drinking alcohol to 2 per day for male and 1 per day for female.

Symptoms of Infected Cysts Due to ADPKD
Infection of renal cysts in polycystic kidney is a severe complication of ADPKD, potentially resulting in abscess, sepsis, and death. The diagnosis of cyst infection difficult because of non-specific signs and symptoms as well as limitation of conventional ultrasound and CT imaging.
In clinical practice, the criteria of cysts infection diagnosis may include as below:
▪ Infected cysts are considered as definite in the presence of a cyst aspiration showing evidence of infection(neutrophils debris and/or microorganism);
▪ Features that figure the possibility of infected cysts include:
fever (T>38.5°C for more than 3 days), abdominal pain, increased C-reactive protein (CRP; >50 mg/L), and the absence of any significant recent intracystic bleeding or other causes of fever.
▪ Positive result of kidney and liver ultrasound date when debris with a thick wall and/or a distal acoustic enhancement in at least a cyst;
▪ Positive kidney and liver CT and MRI data when enhance a thick wall and/or detection of perilesional inflammation in at least a cyst.
What are treatment for infected cysts due to ADPKD?
Antibiotic treatment modification is more frequently adopted for people who are receive initial monotherapy compared with those who are receive bitherapy.
Persistent or recurrent large (diameter>5cm) infected cysts often require drainage by surgical procedures. Drainage is appropriate in some times with an infected cyst. However, this is very temporary, the drained cysts refill quickly and any pain relief is transient at best.

Polycystic Kidney Syndrome and Flank Pain
Flank pain is a condition in which pain is felt between the back and the upper portion of the abdomen. There are many causes of this condition. It may indicate a problem with the kidneys, particularly if this symptom is accompanied by fever, chills, blood in urine and frequent urination. Polycystic Kidney Syndrome can cause flank pain.
Polycystic Kidney Disease refers to a condition in which numerous cysts or fluid-filled sacs grow within the kidneys. The disease can also lead to cysts to develop in other parts of the body. It is a severe condition that is characterized by pain in the flank region.
This problem is associated with the development of cysts in the kidneys that cause the kidneys to enlarge. The enlarged kidneys oppress around organs and tissues, leading to the occurrence of flank pain.
Besides, the burst of cysts can cause hemorrhage and infections of the body. These infections will cause renal tissue to swell, stretching the renal capsule, thus leading to persistent pain in the flank.
How to manage flank pain in Polycystic Kidney Syndrome?
Doctors may analyze the patient's condition and recommed suitable treatment options that may involve the use of advanced medical technologies such as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy, which can shrink the renal cysts naturally and restore the kidney function, respectively.
In addition, making certain lifestyle-related changes to avoid cysts rupture will also prove beneficial. Here are some guidelines on how to prevent the burst of Polycystic Kidney Syndrome cysts:
▪ Keep away from coffee and cola. They have caffeine that may increase the risk of rupture of kidney cyst.
▪ Avoid strenuous exercises that may need much body contact, such as basketball, rugby, and wrestling, etc.
▪ Protect the patients from being affected by a cold or infection.
▪ Give up smoking and stop drinking alcoholic beverages, as both of them contribute to the cysts enlargement and induce the cyst hemorrhage.

Positive Outlook on Polycystic Kidneys
"I have Autosomal PKD and am approaching stage 4. I do not wish to begin dialysis. Western medicine is useless for my condition. Plz help me to shrink cysts and get a good outcome."
There is no satisfactory treatment in western medicine for Polycystic Kidneys. Many patients have to wait until the cyst is big enough for surgery or pumping the liquid. However, this cannot treatment the disease from the root cause, so new cysts may grow up again when pressure is decreased after the big one is removed. Then, how to get a positive outlook for your disease?
As we all know, the decline of kidney function is mainly caused by the enlarged cysts press kidney, resulting in short supply of blood and nutrition in kidney, so functional cells in the kidney withered and fail to function normally. So, as long as we stop the enlargement of cysts, we can avoid its further aggravation.
Polycystic Kidneys is an inherited disease. Patients with faulty genes and weak immunity will from from kidney problem. With an abnormal immune network, cystic lining cells will get activated, and they present hyperplasia. At the same time, these lining cells can produce massive fluids, causing cysts to become enlarged day by day. When there is external pressure, enlarged cysts can rupture, resulting in hematuria and diffuse peritonitis.
Conservative treatments are adopted to treat Polycystic Kidneys, such as Immunotherapy, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Immunotherapy, and Blood Purification, etc.
These treatments can restrain the hyperplasia of cystsic cells and reduce the production of cystic liquid. More importantly, the therapies can regulate the immune system, improve the blood perfusion in kidney and generate new cells in kidney. Then, with less pressure from cysts, renal function can get improved over time. This is a new option for Polycystic Kidney Disease treatment.
In fact, our treatment can not only treat the kidney disease but also treat Polycystic Liver Disease and regulate the whole body. Holistic therapy in our hospital is the best treatment for kidney disease worldwide. A systematic evaluation about the physical condition is necessary to give specific treatment plan. Should Patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Drink Milk
Milk is rich in nutrients and digestible. It is approximately perfect nutrient for people. However, for the persons with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) should they drink milk?
Kidneys are important organs responsible for filtering blood and excreting excessive fluid and metabolic products out of body. However, in the cases of PKD, with the enlargement of cysts, they will oppress the surrounding nephrons resulting in renal function decline. As a result, many waste products will accumulate in blood. In order to reduce the burden to kidneys, the patients with PKD should keep strict dietary principles like low-salt, low-protein, low potassium and so on. Low Fat Milk Is Good for PKD Patients
As for milk, eight ounces of low-fat milk contains 8 grams of protein, 230 mg of phosphorus, 366 mg of potassium and 290 mg of calcium, the high levels of these minerals can aggravate the renal function.
Moreover, drinking too much mike has adverse effects on the bones. Bones are mainly composed of calcium and phosphorus. The healthy kidneys can keep these two minerals balance in bones and blood. However, once PKD causes kidney dysfunction, kidneys can not reabsorb the calcium from food eaten for poor activation of Vitamin D. Afterwards, low blood calcium levels will cause bones to release more calcium thus weakening them. In addition, much phosphorus builds up in blood for kidney dysfunction. The raised phosphorus will combine with calcium causing calcifications, which also cause the level of calcium in blood to decline. In turn, more calcium will be released by bones.
Therefore, the patients with PKD should limit milk consumption, especially for those with kidney dysfunction. Moreover, there are also other dietary principles for PKD patients. If you want to know what or what not to eat, you can consult us on line directly.

Early Stage of PCKD & Nutrition
Polycystic Kidney Disease, or PCKD, is a genetic disease in which many fluid-filled pouches or cysts form on the kidneys. During the early stage of the disease, the cysts may cause the kidneys to swell, leading to impairment of kidney function. How to supply nutrition in the early stage of PCKD?
Eat a low-sodium diet
Normal, kidneys can remove excessive fluid from the body. If cysts disrupt this function, fluid will accumulate in the body, resulting in high blood pressure and swelling. Sodium is an essential mineral that helps maintain the balance of fluid through retaining fluid. A high-sodium diet may cause the body to retain more fluid and worse hypertension. So, patients are recommended to have low sodium (<2400mg/d) by avoiding foods such as canned foods, table salt, seafood and cured meat.
Have a low-fat and high-fiber meal
Eat a low-fat and high-fiber diet to help reduce high blood pressure, which can impair the kidneys. Daily meals had better contain plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Maintain a healthy weight can help prevent PCKD complications.
Avoid excessive protein
Too much protein will make the kidneys work too hard, so patients are suggested to eat less protein (0.8 grams/kilogram ideal body weight) to slow down progressive loss of renal function and also prevents collection of toxins in the body. Avoid eating protein-rich foods such as bananas, oranges, potatoes, tomatoes, cream, cheese, turkey, etc.
Besides, patients with PCKD need to reduce stress, as stress can causes an elevation of adrenaline and blood pressure and may cause cysts to grow at a faster rate. Meanwhile, avoid inflammation, alcohol and smoking.
If people with PCKD can receive prompt treatment in the early stage, they can effectively stop the progression of the disease. You can send an e-mail to pkddoctor@hotmail.com.
Will Golfing Cause Ruptured Cysts of PKD
Polycystic kidney disease is an genetic disease that slowly damages the kidneys and may develop into kidney failure. Fluid-filled sacs or cysts form on the kidneys, interfering with normal function. While there is no cure for this disorder, changes in lifestyle can help slow its progression. Golf is a relatively sedentary sport and probably a good one for people with PKD because it involves lots of walking and other outdoor activity. Will golfing lead to ruptured cysts?
Golf is a game that a person have to be in shape for, just like any other. Generally, people with PKD are not definitely recommended to give up this sport if they enjoy it but maybe have a pro check their swing to see if they may be hurting themselves. It is possible for a very vigorous swing to rupture the cysts but less likely than other contact sports.
What are the best exercises for PKD patients?
Good exercises include those where impact is minimized. These include swimming, tennis, rowing, biking and, to a lesser extent, jogging or running. Patients can choose certain types of them according to their desire.
Are sports dangerous to Polycystic Kidneys?
In general, most of them do not affect renal function. Persons with ADPKD have enlarged and easily ruptured cysts, so they need to take some precautions.
Contact sports like football, rugby, basketball, hockey, and particularly boxing or kickboxing, may cause damage to the kidneys, so patients should avoid them or protective pads should be worn.
Other sports such as horseback riding and cross-country biking have repetitive impact that may result in hematuria (blood in the urine) in individuals with PKD.
Is there still any questions about the disease? You can send an e-mail to pkddoctor@hotmail.com. We are glad to help you!

Amniocentesis & Polycystic Kidney Disease
Amniocentesis is a prenatal diagnostic test which is performed at around 16 weeks of pregnancy. It can be used to test for chromosomal abnormalities, and assess whether the unborn baby could develop, or has developed, an abnormality or serious health condition. This test can be used to diagnose Polycystic Kidney Disease in unborn babies.
During the amniocentesis test, a very small amount of the amniotic fluid is taken out of the womb. The fluid is then tested. In another test, called chorionic villus sampling, a very small piece of the placenta, is tested.
For a person with PKD who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, they can talk to the doctor about these procedures.
How is PKD diagnosed?
The disease is often diagnosed when a person begins to have the symptoms such as high blood pressure, pain in the back and side, blood in the urine, frequent kidney infections, etc. People with these symptoms are at risk for this disorder.
An ultrasound exam can be used to to create a picture of a person's organ and can detect cysts on the kidneys.
A Computerized tomography (CT) scan may also be ordered to look for cysts in the kidney.
For a person with one parent has PKD, he should consider having an ultrasound exam of the kidneys.
For patients with PKD, if you have a relative who has has a brain aneurysm, you are suggested to have a CT or MRI to check the brain for an aneurysm.
There is no cure for PKD. Diagnosis and treatment of symptoms is critical for delaying kidney failure. In the event of kidney failure, dialysis and kidney transplant are often considered.
The good news is that in China, we have a natural herbs therapy to shrink the renal cysts and stop the progression of PKD. With prompt treatment, patients can avoid a kidney dialysis or transplant in the future.
If you are diagnosed or have been suffering from polycystic kidney, contact us by sending an e-mail to pkddoctor@hotmail.com.
Will MRI Be Used to Detect PKD
Polycystic Kidney Disease is a condition in which non-cancerous, water-filled cysts grow in the kidneys. It is a genetic condition caused by abnormal genes. Patients may not experience any of the symptoms for years and without knowing they have the disease. How to diagnose PKD? Will MRI be used to detect this illness?
MRI
This is the exam to document the progress of liver and renal cysts. It is a method of obtaining very detailed images of the body without x-rays, without radiation. This process involves uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves, a rapidly changing magnetic field, an a computer to demonstrate if there is an injury or some disease process present.
● It can give a detailed view of the number of cysts present;
● It may also be used to detect smaller cysts that cannot be found by an ultrasound;
● It is used to measure and monitor volume and growth of kidneys and cysts;
● This imaging test may may provide a clear picture than a CT scan, so it can be used to check whether the patient develop an brain aneurysm.
Other exams and tests used to diagnose PKD
Examination may show hypertension (high blood pressure), kidney or abdominal masses, abdominal tenderness over the liver, and liver enlargement.
A urinalysis may show protein and/or blood in the urine. And, a cerebral angiography may show associated aneurysms.
Cysts on the liver or other organs can be detected with tests including abdominal ultrasound, abdominal CT scan, abdominal MRI scan, IVP, etc.

P: Hello, I have polycystic renal disease, chronic renal failure. Blood urea is 100mg and serum creatinine is 2.84mg. I need to be treated.
D: ok. The effective treatment should contain two parts. One is to treat the cysts and the other is to improve kidney function. Where are you from?
P: I am from Egypt but I can go to your hospital is there is hope for treatment.
D: Now we provide natural treatment for PKD patients, including Immunotherapy, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy to treat the disease.
P: I am happy to here the natural remedy which encourage me and bring new hope for me to treat my medical problem. But, is there such clinical condition have been successfully treated and renal function have been returned back to normal?
D: Every year, nearly 10,000 patients with kidney problems come to our hospital for better treatment, and 6.7% of them are hospitalized with PKD.
P: What is the success rate of treating such medical condition?
D: Statistics show that with prompt and proper treatment, 90% of them can reverse the development of their illness.
P: If treatment does not give hope results, is renal transplant could be alternative choice?
D: Kidney transplant is only needed when patients has many complications that could not be solved by dialysis or other conservative methods. As for your disease condition, if we can restrain the enlargement of renal cysts, shrink them gradually and repair the kidney damage, you will be far away from a transplant.
P: How can you get this effect?
D: Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is an external therapy. It can be used to prevent the growth of cysts and shrink them over time. Meanwhile, it can restrain the growth of new cyst. Immunotherapy is a natural therapy which can restore the injured kidney. More details, you can send an e-mail to pkddoctor@hotmail.com

Polycystic Kidney is the commonest inherited kidney disorders, equally affecting all ethnic groups. Almost all cases belong to "autosomal dominant" type, resulting from a gene inherited from a parent. Will Polycystic Kidney go into spontaneous remission?
As a kind of hereditary disease, persons affected by this disease have no hope to go into spontaneous remission. On average, 50 percent of children inheriting the faulty gene will develop the cyst-forming disease. This disorder can be detected with an ultrasound examination by around age of 20.
The ultrasound may reveal numerous cysts and enlargement of the kidneys, at times over 3 times the normal size. Despite cysts and enlarged kidneys, people with Polycystic Kidney Disease may maintain normal kidney function for decades. Generally, half of patients will develop CKD by age 50. 10 percent of them will progress to ESRD.
To be honest, there is no good treatment in western medicine for Polycystic Kidney Disease. Many patients wait until the cyst is large enough for an operation or pumping the liquid. These measures focus on dealing with the big cysts and do nothing to restrain the growth of new cysts and small ones.
In China, a natural solution called Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is adopted to shrink the cysts in the kidney and prevent their further swelling up. With prompt treatment, patients can live a fully normal life.
(1) Effective ingredients of Micro-Chinese Medicine can promote the blood inflow to kidneys and enhance the flow speed of blood circulation. Then, the suction of blood flow will be more powerful.
(2) TCM ingredients contained in this therapy can soften the cyst wall, and inactivate cyst wall's secretion of liquid. Softened cyst wall paves way for easier cyst liquid filtrating out into blood capillaries, and inactivated cyst wall become incapable of secreting more cyst liquid. So, once these cysts in kidney are shrunk, they will never recur.

Can Surgery Treat Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
Surgery is a common therapy to remove the big cysts for the patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). It can relive the patients’ sufferings temporarily. However, can surgery treat the disease effectively?
The answer is definitely NO. Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is featured with numerous cysts usually on bilateral kidneys. Surgery can not remove the big cysts, but it can not remove the small ones or those in the deep parts of kidneys. Moreover, once the enlarged cysts are removed, the left small ones will grow at a faster speed for more growth space. These new enlarged cysts will cause back pain, high blood pressure etc again. At that time, they have to perfume a surgery again. However, it is not possible to remove all of the cysts in Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) with surgery. What’s worse, every surgery can bring enormous trauma to kidneys and cause renal function to decline at a fast speed. Therefore, surgery is generally not suggested to the patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).
At present, although there is no a cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), the patients can stop the disease progression to avoid Renal Failure. Chinese herb medicine plays a very important role in the treatment of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).
With age, the number and size of cysts keep increasing continuously. As a result, the lining cells of cysts secrete more and more cystic fluid thus enlarging cysts persistently. In clinic, the patients will present high blood pressure, back pain etc. Therefore, stopping the secretion of cystic fluid and promoting its reabsorption by the lining cells is the key in treating Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).
Chinese herbal medicines, on one hand, they can dilate the systemic blood vessels and promote the discharging of the metabolic wastes in blood. It can relive the renal ischemia and anoxia to some extent.
On the other hand, they can promote the reabsorption of cystic fluid by the lining cysts. Therefore, it can shrink the cysts gradually.
In this way, the cysts will stop enlarge and shrink gradually so as to stopping the further progression of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).

Treat Polycystic Liver Disease with Traditional Chinese Medicine
PKD is a hereditary disorder that results in multiple, various-sized and progressively enlarging cysts in both kidneys. In conjunction with cyst formation in the kidney, similar benign cysts generally also occur in liver and this incidence increases with age. Is there any traditional Chinese medicine for Polycystic Liver Disease?
PLD causes the growth of a large number of cysts within the tissue of the liver due to the abnormal hyperplasia of hepatic duct epithelial cells and mesenchymal. As a result, the occurrence of multiple cysts on the liver fibrous tissue can be caused.
For people with Polycystic Kidney Disease who develop liver cysts, these cysts can put additional strain on their already stressed bodies. They may be impacted by the problems related to cysts in the liver. Therefore, early detect and prompt treatment is of great importance for patients.
Traditional Chinese Medicine for Polycystic Liver Disease (PLD)
In our hospital, an innovative traditional Chinese medicine treatment called Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is adopted to treat PLD naturally. Other than orally taken medicine, it is an external application. So, there is no side effects to patient's body.
Therapeutic mechanism of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy for PLD can be concluded as two points as below:
* Chinese medicine can dilate the vessels on the vascular wall around the cysts, speed up the blood circulation, improve the permeability of cyst wall, and promote the decrease of cyst wall vessels inner pressure. By doing this, we can reverse the differential pressure resulted from intravascular pressure higher than cysts pressure.
* Ingredients of Micro-Chinese Medicine can inhibit the secretion of cyst wall epithelial cells and prevent the continuous expanding of bursa wall vessels and cysts.
The above is a general introduction of traditional Chinese medicine for PLD. Is there still anything unclear? You can consult our online experts.

Ways to Avoid Cysts Bursting with PKD
Polycystic Kidney Disease is characterized by multiple fluid-filled sacs located in the kidneys. The
existence of these cysts are harmful to kidney function, as they may cause the
kidneys to become enlarged, or swollen, and reduce the amount of functioning
kidney tissue. Renal cysts bursting can result in severe side effects for
patients, such as blood in urine, pain, sepsis, and hemorrhage, etc. So
preventing the burst of renal cysts is important. The following gives some
useful suggestions.
▪ Stay away from alcohol. Numerous studies have shown that drinking alcohol with irritate the kidneys greatly particularly wine and liquor. The alcohol will directly stimulate the activity of polycystin and accelerate the cystic fluid secretion. So renal cysts will grow vigorously. Patients with PKD are suggested to avoid drinking.
▪ Quit smoking. This is a bad habits that patients should give up, as smoking will lead to further enlargement of the cysts so as to increase their risk of burst.
▪ Avoid eating caffeine-containing foods and drinks. Coffee, tea, colas and other caffeine-containing foods and beverages are poor choice for PKD patients. Caffeine is a risk factor for enlarge cysts.
▪ Avoid demanding sport or exercise, such as rugby, baseball, struggling, football, basketball, etc. Besides, walking, jogging, swimming, golfing, biking, running, and rowing is also permitted.
▪ Prevent the continuous growth of renal cysts and shrink them gradually. In China, a natural remedy known as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy therapy can help us achieve these goals. Shrinking the enlarged renal cysts and restraining the growth of new ones are the best way to prevent cysts bursting with PKD.
▪ Prevent being infected. Any form of infection can speed up the enlargement of cysts and improve their risk of burst.

Do PKD Cysts Break Up and Release in Urine
Persons with PKD have numerous clusters of cysts form on the kidneys. When cysts form in the kidneys, they are filled with fluid. Left untreated, the cysts will continuously become enlarged, and occupy more and more abdominal cavity. Consequently, the pressure in abdominal cavity increases persistently. Even if a mild knock on abdomen can cause the PKD cysts to break up. Besides, the enlarged cysts will oppress the surrounding organs, leading to cyst rupture.
Since there are lots of capillaries under the cyst wall, when the cysts break up, the blood red cells will enter into urinary tract and then be discharged into urine. So, you may detect blood in the urine.
With prompt treatment, blood in urine can easily result in the infection of cysts and enterocoelia, which can further lead to high fever, rapid decline of kidney function and other severe problems. Therefore, once patients detect this symptom, they should go to see a doctor at once.
It should be noticed that cysts break up can result in serious damage to kidney function and even accelerate the progression to Kidney Failure. It is quite essential for patients with PKD to adopt vigorous therapy to prevent enlargement of cysts as soon as possible.
In western countries, patient often believe that there is no other treatment for the disease except dialysis and renal transplantation. Then, they just wait for the illness worsening till it progresses into Kidney Failure.
In China, integrated Western - Chinese medicine is widely used to treat PKD. Western medicine mainly copes with symptoms, while Chinese medicine stops the growth of cysts as well as shrink the large ones naturally. Therefore, we can avoid the cysts break up.

Hypotension in PCKD Patients on Dialysis
"My husband has PCKD is on dialysis and has hypotension during treatment. What are the causes? How to deal with this problem?"
Dialysis-induces hypotension in PCKD is a very severe clinical problem, which is one of the most frequent complication that may diminish patient's life quality, and increase mortality in people with renal replacement therapy.
The most common cause is decrease of blood volume due to dehydration too much or too quickly. Other causes may also include:
1) Excess fluid weight gain. This means gaining too much weight between dialysis sessions;
2) Long-term used of hypotonic solution;
3) A very weak heart;
4) Excessive BP medications;
5) Autonomic nerve dysfunction;
6) Being allergic to dialysis equipment.
What can we do to deal with this complication?
▪ Certain saline water can be injected in patient's blood vessels before the start of the procedure. By doing this, we can avoid quick decline of blood volume.
▪ Use high sodium dialysate.
▪ Do not eat foods during the treatment process.
▪ Receiving treatment in a low temperature environment can stimulate the skin and lead to vasoconstriction. This has certain preventive effect.
Dialysis may be helpful to maintain a normal life of patients with PCKD, but patients should be aware that it is not a treatment for the disease. It cannot recover the kidney function, so patients has better adopt other effective therapy while receiving renal replacement therapy and treat the disease from the root. The treatment should help us stop further deterioration of kidney function, repair and restore the renal function so as to treat the renal disease and get rid of dialysis.

Caffeine and Polycystic Kidney Disease
Caffeine and Polycystic Kidney Disease |
Persons with PKD should avoid caffeine due to reasons as below:
▪ It interferes with a natural substances in the body known as phosphodiesterase that helps to prevent the formation of cysts.
▪ It can cause the cysts to grow, accelerating disease progression, worsening the condition and promoting further kidney damage.
▪ Chronic consumption of it may lead to increased blood pressure, which is one of the main risks of PKD. Hypertension increases patient's risk of having a heart attack, stroke and other health problems.
Therefore, patients with PKD should avoid coffee, non-herbal tea, chocolate and some sodas. Even decaf coffee contains trace amounts of caffeine, varing by brand. Dark chocolates have more content than lighter ones.
Other foods that should be avoided for people with PKD
Salty foods
They are high in sodium, and containing excess amounts of this mineral can increase the blood pressure and the risk for heart disease. Particularly high-sodium foods include table salt, cured and processed meats, canned soups and vegetables, prepared tomato sauce and frozen can canned entrees.
Dairy products
These foods may increase the kidneys' burden and result in dehydration. Avoid Cheddar, Parmesan, and Romano cheeses. The intake should be limited to 1 oz. weekly.

Halt the Progression of Polycystic Kidney Disease
D: Well, I am having PKD. Can this be rectified at your place?
P: Yes, we can treat the disease. We are one of the world's largest kidney disease specialized hospital.
D: Will it go completely? My age is 37 and serum creatinine level remains 0.90
P: Your kidney function is still good. As you know, the disease is genetic, so it is difficult to cure completely. If well controlled, we can halt the further progression of PKD.
D: Can I go for a kidney transplant?
P: We don't suggest you to go for a transplant now. It is the last choice for patients with end-stage renal failure. The survive rate of the transplanted kidney is not high. Have you use Chinese herbal medicine before?
D: No sir never.
P: Can you please advise me how to take this?
D: It can help shrink the cysts and repair the damaged kidney function.
P: What is the procedure?
D: We use Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy to expand blood vessels, speed up blood circulation on cysts walls, and improve the permeability of the cysts thus making the cysts shrink and decrease, until it stops secreting. When the internal pressure of the cyst declined, the size of the cyst will gradually become smaller, thus relieving the compression of the tissues around, improving microcirculation, and blocking the progressing of renal fibrosis. Besides, the cysts are not easy to recur after disappearance.
P: How many people have you treated successfully?

Alternative Remedy for PCKD with Hemodialysis for 2 Years
"I was found to have PCKD in January 2004. Now, I am on hemodialysis 3 times a week for 2 years. Blood pressure is no more than 140mmHg and my creatinine is 13.2 after the latest tests. The clearance is 15% of under. Is there any other better remedy except for dialysis?"
Polycystic Kidney Disease is a genetic disease which is characterized by many cysts grow on the kidneys. The persistent enlargement of cysts in the kidneys will cause severe damage to the renal function, leading to very high creatinine levels and decreased GFR.
For your stage, there must be massive glomerulosclerosis. This means, lots of kidney functional cells-nephrons, are not working. So, for you, the key is to protect the remaining 15% kidney function and try to restore as much as possible nephrons.
Frankly speaking, for patients with severe PCKD, they have to adopt dialysis to sustain life. If there is still certain amount of urine output, there is still hope for promoting kidney condition.
But if there is no urine and this condition lasts for more than 3 months, the treatment can promote patients' general condition like enhancing immunity, regulating BP level, alleviating anemia and so on.
What are alternative remedy for PCKD with hemodialysis for 2 years?
The proper natural remedy is combination of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy. The former is used to prevent the growth of cysts and shrink them gradually. Immunotherapy can help us improve the kidney function and restore the kidney structure.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is a natural herbs therapy applied externally. Its main curative effects include promote whole body blood circulation, restrain the secretion of cystic fluid, make the big cysts smaller and smaller so as to reduce their suppression to around renal tissue.
Immunotherapy can restore the kidney function to a maximum degree. Then we can prolong or avoid patient's necessity for dialysis or kidney transplant.

Chinese Medicine for PCKD Stage 5 without Renal Transplantation
"I have PCKD and have been on dialysis for 3 years. Creatinine levels 850. I do not want a transplant. Can Chinese medicine help me avoid it?"
Yes. In China, we provide a new option for patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease. This is known as Immunotherapy. As the latest therapy for PCKD, Immunotherapy can help patients get rid of dialysis or a renal transplantation if treated promptly. How can we achieve this? ( Polycystic Kidney Disease Treatment in China )
We all know that PCKD is a genetic disease. For people whose immune ability is not very strong, cystic lining cells will get activated by abnormal immune system. These cells will present hyperplasia constantly. At the same time, the lining cells will produce massive fluid so cysts will become enlarged day by day.
Eventually, kidney failure may result from the enlarged cysts and these big cysts cause short supply of blood and circulation in the kidneys, so functional cells will be withered gradually. Untreated effectively, the disease will progress to end-stage renal disease. Then, dialysis or a renal transplantation is needed to support patient's survival.
However, pure dialysis cannot help prevent further deterioration. If you want to avoid the final transplantation in the future, you must find an effective therapy to protect the residual renal function from further aggravation and improve it.
Based on many years' research and clinical practices, the nation's top kidney experts develop a new treatment in 2013, known as Immunotherapy. Under this therapy, you have great chance to avoid the eventual transplantation with curative effects as below.
▪ Restrain the hyperplasia of cystic cells and reduce the production of cystic fluid;
▪ Shrink the renal cysts and they will become smaller and smaller gradually;
▪ Rectify the immune dysfunction and improve renal blood perfusion;
▪ Actually, Immunotherapy not only treats your kidney disease but also regulates your whole body. After a systematic evaluation about your physical condition, we can give specific treatment solution. Any help, e-mail to pkddoctor@hotmail.com .

Natural Herbal Medicine for Polycystic Kidney with Creatinine 1.2
"I have Polycystic Kidney first detected at age of 30 and now at 55. Size of the biggest cyst is 33.4×27mm. Serum creatinine is 1.21mg/dL (normal range is 0.67~1.17). I had elevated blood pressure and frequent headaches which are now controlled. I want to know how Chinese herbal treatment can benefit me."
An analysis of your condition is needed to guide corresponding treatment, so you can know your condition well from the following information.
Once the cysts grow to bigger than 3cm, a variety of discomforts will present. High blood pressure and headache are common complications of PKD. Though your cysts are not quite large, the creatinine level has been higher than normal range, which indicate that the kidney function has been affected. I am afraid your renal function may be lower than 50 percent (normal range should be higher than 100).
Therefore, you are in the key time to treat the disease, as PKD cysts will grow with your age. Untreated, the enlarged cysts will result in continuous decline of renal function. The end stage will be Renal Failure.
At present, your disease is in the Stage 2. In this stage, the kidney damage can be reversed and there is great possibility to restore your renal function. How can Chinese herbal medicine benefit you?
There has been using natural herbs therapy -- Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, to treat PKD since 1986. It can help shrink the cysts gradually and help patients to avoid the dialysis and kidney transplant in the future. The successful rate is as high as 95%.
The medicine is adopted externally and won't cause any side effects to other organs. The cost depends on personalized illness condition.
So far, about 20,000 patients with kidney diseases have been treated in there, and around 11% of them suffer from PKD. In 2012, there have treated patients with the disease from Oman, Libya, USA, Australia, Latvia, France, India, etc.

"I have Polycystic Kidney with many cysts in the kidney, big and small. Today, I am urinating blood; it seems there is cyst rupture. The nephrologists here don't have any treatment for my disease. Can you please help me? Thanks."
Don't be worried. We are one of the largest kidney disease hospital around the world. About 20,000 patients with kidney diseases have been treated in our hospital, and around 11% of them suffer from PKD. With rich clinical experiences, we can help you solve the problem.
Blood in urine often indicates cysts rupture, but it may also occur due to elevated blood pressure. So detect the exact cause can help us adopt corresponding treatment. You can contact me for further analysis ( e-mail to pkddoctor@hotmail.com ).
If there is cyst rupture, prompt treatment is of great importance to avoid further infection of the kidneys and continuous bleeding. In severe cases, acute renal failure can be caused.
Patients with a ruptured cyst should go to see a professional physician as soon as possible. Treatments include surgery or medicine about hemostasis and anti-inflammation can be used according to personalized illness condition.
Generally, when the diameters of cysts are more than 3cm, it seems to burst easily with some stimulation like lifting heavy thing, bending over, etc.
So, a person with PKD should not wait for the enlargement of renal cysts. Instead, an early treatment to stop the growth of cysts and shrink them gradually is necessary to help patient live a normal life.
If your kidney function is still good, we recommend you receive treatment including "Duo Nang Xiao" and Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy. Both of the therapies have been shown to have effective effects in shrinking the cysts. Any help, consult our online experts.
