Today is Thanksgiving Day, and we must have too many people to say thanks to
at the close of the harvest season. As president Obama said “Thanksgiving Day
brings us closer to our loved ones and invites us to reflect on the blessings
that enrich lives”. However, it must be a concern for you if there is a loved
one in your family has PKD.
1. Give a special “Gratitude Dinner” to PKD patient
Families in the United States will celebrate Thanksgiving with Turkey and
Pumpkin on the table and football on TV. However, for PKD patients, they should
not consume too much turkey, which will lead to the kidneys overworking. While
pumpkin is very good for patients with PKD for its various functions which can
be detoxifying, protecting gastric, promoting digestion, lowing high blood
glucose, preventing diabetes and keeping out cancer and booting growth.
2. Share your stories with family members and say thanks to them
You can reflect on people or things that have done good or have helped you.
This can not only dissipate stress but also helps develop new neural pathways. A
thanksgiving dinner special by saying grace, a prayer of thanks can really make
us happy and relaxed.
3. Choose a best treatment option for your PKD members
To help PKD members get out agony in time and spend more Thanksgiving Day
with us, we should find a natural and safe therapy for them.
I sincerely hope everyone can be happy at Thanksgiving Day. And I also give
my best wishes to those patients who are suffering from PKD. Get well soon.
