Polycystic Kidney Disease is a group of inherited diseases that cause cysts
to develop in internal organs, primarily affecting the kidneys. These
fluid-filled cysts will grow and multiply over time, causing the kidneys to
increase sometimes dramatically in size. Then, kidney function becomes severely
impaired.
What do the kidneys do?
Each of us has two bean-shaped kidneys, each the size of a closed fist,
located in the middle of the back, below the rib cage. Functions of the kidneys
are as below:
▪ Remove waste products from the body;
▪ Balance the body's fluid and electrolytes;
▪ Release hormones (renin) to regulate blood pressure;
▪ Control the production of red blood cells (erythropoietin);
▪ Produce an active form of vitamin D to promote strong and healthy
bones.
An enlarged kidney is symptomatic of PKD due to a large number of cysts grow
within the kidney. These cysts destroy normal kidney tissue, leading to enlarged
kidneys.Complications of PKD include high blood pressure and kidney failure due
to progressive loss of function.
Some of the symptoms of kidney failure are fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea
and vomiting, dry, itchy skin, metallic taste in the mouth, swelling in feet and
ankles, and mild to moderate depression, etc.
Generally, about 50 percent of PKD patients progress to kidney failure or
end-stage renal disease by the age of 50, as there is no effective therapy in
western medicine which can prevent the development of the disease.
In China, a herbal remedy has been created known as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy. This therapy is developed by our kidney experts based on more than
20 years' research and expertise in PKD treatment.
Clinical practices have shown that Micro-Chinese Medicine has surprising
effects on shrinking the cysts, block further decline of kidney function, impair
the damaged kidneys, and help patients to avoid the kidney dialysis and kidney
transplant in the future.
Are you still seeking for a natural treatment for your enlarged kidneys
caused by PKD? Micro-Chinese Medicine is a good choice.
