Polycystic Kidney Disease is a chronic and hereditary disorder which is very
difficult to be cured at present. Because the patients are born with the faulty
gene which can trigger the cysts form in the kidneys, the cysts begin to form
when patients are born.
PKD has familial aggregation. It is very common for a family with several PKD
sufferers. The common symptoms of PKD can vary from patients to patients, even
in the same family. For instance, in a family of three children of PKD, one can
suffer from severe pain caused by the enlarging kidneys but the illness
condition progresses very slowly; the second child can have no obvious symptoms
at all; and the youngest can be bothered by frequent cyst ruptures and a more
aggressive failure. While the most common symptoms can be high blood pressure,
hematuria (blood in urine), urinary tract infections and so on.
Because PKD develops very slowly and the symptoms are not obvious until they
are 60 years, some people can pass away because of other diseases. A lot of
patients are only find they have PKD when they are performing physical checks by
chance. Most patients start to experience symptoms when they are around 40 years
old.
Patients should be confident to fight against PKD. As a chronic kidney
disease, you should be prepared to have a long term battle with PKD. Some
patients might be recommended to have kidney transplant. It seems that it can
bring kidney function back to normal. While, thing is not such easy since
failure of the allograft can certainly lead to death. Patients have to take
anti-rejection medicine as ordered.
Hope patients can find a natural and proper therapy to treat PKD, it can be
controlled. If you have some questions that is related with your kidney problem,
