As PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) is a genetic kidney disease, a lot of
people are born with it. They just confused when is the right time to treat PKD
so that they can get a better prognosis. Experts say patients can choose to
treat PKD at the following time.
1. Young and Middle Aged Adult
At this period, the metabolism of human is very active and patients have a
strong immunity. They are more sensitive to medicines. Patients can get a better
prognosis when they treat PKD at a young age compared with those who treat it in
their senior year.
2. The early stage of PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease)
At the onset of PKD, patients do not have the experience of taking medicines
abusively. And they do not have much resistance to medicines, and they are
easier to absorb the effective ingredients. At this time, their therapy courses
will be shortened and their illness condition can be well controlled. Therefore,
at the early stage, PKD patients should go to the specialized hospital to
receive treatment and do not take over the counter drugs.
3. Time when your kidney function is not severely damaged
With the continuous growth of kidney cysts, they will oppress the kidney
units and reduce kidney functions. When your kidneys start to decline, your
whole body will be in a state of imbalance. A lot of symptoms and complications
such as hematuria, high blood pressure, flank pain and urinary tract infections
will present, which are very difficult to be treated. Before kidney function
declines, the target of treatment are focusing on the cysts’ shrinking, which is
much easier compared to reversing kidney function.
In conclusion, the right time should be treated when your body is strong.
When kidney function decline appears, timely treatment is necessary for you.
