Is Polycystic Kidney Disease Related to Incest

Incest is sexual intercourse between close relatives that share the similar genes. Polycystic Kidney Disease does pass down by gene. Patients can inherit PKD genes from their parents and genic mutation can lead to Polycystic Kidney Disease. Is polycystic kidney disease related to incest?

Current popular statement says that incest should be a taboo for the children of close relatives tends to experience more genic mutation disease than the other children. However, there is no evidence shows that polycystic kidney disease is related to incest by far.

As a matter of fact, if people gets PKD without accurate cause, doctor may take the incest into consider on the condition that he can not find other reasons.
Anyway, most mutations occur spontaneously and are of unknown cause in the product of incest love. Incest sex cannot hurt you in any way except all the many risks of sex. The big medical problem is increased risk of having a genetically defective child.

No matter what incest causes your PKD or not, the first step is to take a prompt treatment. Anyway, what matters is not cause, but the result. In many cases, PKD patients do live a normal life with the disease, after timely treatment.

In fact, all kidney damages and the following sufferings come from the constantly enlarged renal cyst. As long as the renal cysts can be controlled small enough, they will not affect the kidney normal functions and PKD won’t influence patient’s normal life.

PKD itself is not horrible. What horrible is delay treatment on PKD that leads to serious consequence, such as kidney function decline, renal failure, dialysis or kidney transplant etc. This is why we suggest any patient with PKD take measures to shrink their renal cysts as soon as possible.

No matter incest is related to Polycystic Kidney Disease, incest sex is not a wise choice. We do not reject any form of pure love, but we advocate the parents to lead a healthy life for next generation.
