Which Kinds of Patients are not Suitable to Perform Renal Biopsy

Renal Biopsy can lead to many a lot of damages to our body. However, some patients have to perform Renal Biopsy to identify their disease. Some patients are not suitable to perform Renal Biopsy.

1. Patients with severe high blood pressure because they are easy to have bleeding or arteriovenous fistula.

2. Patients who are receiving treatment of anti-clot. If patients are undergoing dialysis, they should have renal biopsy 24 hours after dialysis.

3. Patients with Chronic Renal Failure whose kidneys have been atrophied.

4. Patients with solitary kidney or horseshoe kidney.

5. Patients with pyelonephritis, nephrotuberculosis, nephrapostasis and other active infections. Renal Biopsy can make the infections more easy to spread.

6. Patients with Kidney Tumor for fear of the spread of cancer cells.

7. Patients with hydronephrosis can not perform Renal Biopsy before the obstruction is cleared away.

8. Patients with heart failure, peripheral circulatory failure.

9. Patients with Psychopathy because they will not cooperate with the procedures, which is easily to have an accident.

10. Patients who are obese or have severe swelling.

11. Patients with severe ascites.

12. Patients with late trimester of pregnancy.
