Anemia refers to a condition in which your body does not have enough healthy
red blood cells. It is one of the most common symptoms of PKD. How do you
develop this condition? What natural treatments can you take?
In general, renal anemia will not occur until ADPKD progresses to renal
insufficiency, but you may have persistent blood in urine or slight anemia. When
PKD develops into end-stage renal disease, anemia will present. Compared with
other kidney diseases, anemia caused by PKD often appear later and this is not
so severe. However, there are many patients who have anemia before Renal Failure
occurs due to other factors.
Causes of anemia in PKD
Lack of erythropoietin, a hormone made by the kidneys to instruct the bone
marrow to maintain the proper number of red blood cells. The growth of multiple
cysts in the kidneys replace normal renal tissue, resulting in decline of kidney
function. The secretion of erythropoietin will decrease.
Malnutrition. This is caused due to the limit of protein intake and much loss
of protein in the urine. As a result, there are decreased protein levels within
the body.
Haemorrhage. It may appear as a result of the cystic rupture as well as
symptoms of epistaxis and gingival bleeding in end-stage renal disease
(ESRD).
Natural treatments for anemia in PKD
Because your anemia tends to develop gradually as your kidney function
declines caused by the enlarged cysts in the kidneys. So we need to find an
effective therapy to slow down or even prevent the growth of cysts.
In China, a herbal therapy known as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is
applied externally to treat anemia in PKD naturally. Through external
application, effective Chinese medicine can function to shrink the cysts and
repair the damaged kidneys. In this way, symptoms of PKD will be ameliorated and
the rupture of cysts can be prevented. If you are suffer from anemia, we are
here to help.
