Polycystic Kidney Disease is a genetic disorder which can pass through the
family. It would be helpful for patients to treat it if they know more knowledge
of Polycystic Kidney Disease. The following are the eight factors which can
trigger Polycystic Kidney Disease.
1. Various infections
The abnormal changes might happen if patients are infected, providing an
environment which is beneficial for the growth of the cysts; infection in any
part of the body will affect cysts through blood circulation; if the cysts get
infection, the cysts will grow faster and its clinical manifestations will be
severer. The common infections are infection of the respiratory tract infection
(including the cold), urinary tract infection, gastrointestinal infection, skin
infection, injury infection etc.
2. Congenital dysplasia
Congenital dysplasia can lead to various diseases. As for cystic kidney
disease, they are Madullary Sporge Kidney(MSK) and hypogenetic Polycystic Kidney
Disease.
3. Genic mutation (non-hereditary)
Most Polycystic Kidney Disease patients are from their parents, but some are
not. They are from genic mutation when the embryos are fromed. Although they are
very rare to be seen, this condition does exist.
4. Overtired
5. Pregnancy
There is no evidence showing pregnancy can aggravate the Polycystic Kidney
Disease, but there will have a bad prognosis for Polycystic Kidney Disease
Patients who are pregnant for a few times. More than 1/4 patients will present
high blood pressure or their primary blood pressure be severer after pregnancy.
The risk is higher if the patients are abnormal in kidney functions.
6. Diet
Polycystic Kidney Disease will be severer if consuming too much cold or spicy
food. The intake of salt should be controlled in 3-5g per day. Take adequate
high- quality proteins. The proteins can be found in lean meat, egg white and
fresh milk etc.
7. Toxins
Toxic drugs like kanamycin, gentamicin, sulfonamides, rifampicin,
indomethacin, centipede and nux vomica can cause great damage to the kidneys. Be
cautious of taking them. They can also cause genetic mutation and congenital
aplasia.
8. Emotional factors
In a bad mood for a long time can cause disorder of our nervous system and
endocrine system, which can change the inner environment through neurohumor
effect. The bad mood can also lead to the decrease of our immunity, because of
which the germs and virus are easier to attack our body. As a result, the cysts
are badly affected again.
