How to Stop PKD from Progressing into Renal Insufficiency
Renal Insufficiency is a medical condition, in which kidneys fail to work adequately. The patients with PKD at at high risk of developing the condition.
PKD is featured with a cluster of fluid-filled cysts developing within both kidneys. With age, the cysts increase both in size and number persistently. The growing cysts will occupy more and more normal kidney tissues, thus resulting in renal function decline. Also, the enlarge cysts compress the adjacent cells and tissues, resulting in renal ischemia and anoxia. Lack of oxygen and blood will render the healthy kidney tissues and cells die gradually. That is how Renal Insufficiency occurs in PKD. So, how to stop PKD from developing into Renal Insufficiency? Here are some tips.
1. If there is a family history of PKD or someone is diagnosed with the disease, the others should go for test at once to figure out if they are affected with the disease in the very first time.
2. Early inspection and treatment is the key for preventing PKD from progressing into Renal Insufficiency. Apart from symptomatic treatment like controlling pain, high blood pressure, etc in routine treatment, relative treatments should be adopted to shrink cysts and stop the small ones from growing.Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy,immunotherapy, medicated bath, etc are used to treat PKD. 3. A kidney-friendly diet plays a vital role in treating PKD. If Renal Insufficiency occurs, they should have a tight limitation on the consumption of fluid, foods high in sodium, protein, phosphorus for these can put extra strain on their kidneys.
