Is There Any Treatment Option for 18~19cm Kidneys of PKD
"My daughter was diagnosed with PKD. Her kidneys are 18 and 19cm. She has no complications as of yet. She is only 16 right now. Creatinine is 1.2. The current kidney function is between 95 and 100%. As for treatment, her nephrologists said er have nothing to worry about right now and ESRD isn't in the near future for her. I am looking for treatment opinions and necessary actions for her disease."
For your daughter's condition, her enlarged kidney size is due to cysts in kidneys. According to the experience, the largest size of the cyst may be over 6cm. Fortunately, the creatinine level is still normal and her renal function is not yet damaged seriously.
I cannot understand why her doctor said that you need not worry about 19cm kidney. The normal size of kidney is 10cm, and your daughter's condition has been very severe. If the treatment is delayed, her kidney function will be damaged and deteriorate into Renal Failure in the near future.
Left untreated, within 2 to 3 years, the creatinine will be very high and is likely to progress to kidney failure. The outcome of young people or children is much worse than adult. Your daughter is so young, and we should help her to be healthy early but not delay the disease until it can't be reversed eventually.
The kidney problems are caused due to enlarged renal cysts, so the best solution is to stop their growth and shrink them in size naturally. In western medicine, there is no such a method. However, Chinese medicine can provide such a promising therapy known as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy.
Micro-Chinese Medicine has been applied in our hospital to treat PKD for more than 20 years. Over 2, 000 patients with the disease have benefited from this natural herbal remedy. So we strongly suggest your daughter receiving an effective treatment as early as possible. Any help, e-mail to pkddoctor@hotmail.com.
