Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD). They are health care in daily life
(preventing from living environment, living habits and working environment) and
avoiding infections.
Health care in daily life
Living Environment: The developing of cysts is closely related to living
environment. Therefore we need to pay more attention to following tips. 1:
Avoiding infections of bacteria and the presence of inflammation, especially
urinogenital system inflammation. If there is inflammation, enough medication
should be used for diminishing the inflammation completely.2: People with ADPKD
need to avoid staying in polluted environment, especially people who are
occupied in chemical industry.3: Chocolate, coffee should be avoided. Researches
in recent years show that coffee can irritate the developing of cysts. 4:
Analgesic drugs (such as Aspirin) should be avoided. They also irritate cysts.
5: Control High Blood Pressure well.
For patients with ADPKD, living habits could be one of the leading causes of
cysts developing. Bad living habits should be got rid of. 1: Say no to spicy
food and alcohol. Meanwhile, prevent infections (Cold, Urethritis, etc.)
Inflammation is one of the main causes of cyst growing. You should avoid using
any medication which can do harm to kidney. You can consult your doctor about
what kind of medications will do harm to kidneys. Holding back is not suggested.
Shower is better than bath to avoid inflammation. Well control of blood pressure
is an important thing to prevent you from Renal Failure. When there is blood in
urine, don’t do a lot of activities.
People with ADPKD can be treated by Chinese medicine and Immunotherapy
transplant. But we still need to pay more attention to daily health care of
ADPKD. It could help you a lot if you want to have long life expectancy.
