Risk Factors Influencing Prognosis of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)

Prognosis of Polycystic Kidney Disease varies with different patients. If the patients are accompanied with many complications, their prognosisis bad. Generally speaking, the earlier the clinical symptoms appear, the worse the prognosis is. Most of patients with PKD can live about ten years after the appearance of clinical symptoms. 1. Infection

Various infections can make the internal environment change, which can make the activity of cysts increase thus promoting the growth of cysts. For patients with PKD, infections on every body part can cause damage to renal function. 2. Toxin
