If the patients have vitamin B2 insufficiency, it will cause loss of hair, mouth ulcer. Moreover, vitamin B6 can improve the cells’ immunity and promote the absorption of protein and fat and prevent nerves system diseases thus can alleviate nocturnal muscle spasm. Generally speaking, the patients on dialysis do not have vitamin12 insufficiency so the patients need not increase the supplement of vitamin 12. In dialysis, the patients often also lose much vitamin C that is a necessary element for improving resistibility. Therefore, the patients should guarantee proper vitamin C intake and keep its intake within 100 mg per day.
However, the patients should avoid excessive vitamin C intake for extra supplement can cause calcium oxalate deposition in blood thus causing blood vessels calcification.


The patients within Renal Failure can lose much nutrition in dialysis so they should guarantee nutrition supplement based on their own disease condition under their doctors’ guidance. They should not just adjust their diet simply according to the general diet principles for the patients with Kidney Disease.
