Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is a type of genetic kidney disorder, the
manifestation of which is that there are various cysts in the renal cortex and
renal medulla. 90-95 percent of PKD patients have the family medical history.
Only 5-10 percent of patients have no family medical history and belong to
genetic mutation. The most common PKD is autosomal dominant inheritance PKD, and
this disease usually attack at 30-50 years old. The morbidity of their children
is about 50 percent. In addition, PKD is a kind of system disease, and it always
is complicated by polycystic liver disease, encephalic aneurysma, abnormal heart
valve and other non-renal abnormal. Sometimes, the non-renal abnormal may be the
only clinical symptom.
As for the genetic disease, the abnormal hyperplasia of kidney tubules
epithelial cells is its outstanding feature. When the kidney tubules epithelial
cells turn into cysts epithelial cells, they begin to have the function of
secretion. The liquid they secreted become more and more but there is no normal
approach to eliminate. So with the increase of age and the accumulation of
liquid, the cysts will gradually enlarge and the cysts pressure will increase,
then the cysts will press the surrounding renal tissues and the tension of cysts
wall will increase. So patients will have the symptoms of discomfort of back and
waist.
When there are focal infections of cysts, there will be symptoms of pain.
With the continuous enlargement of cysts, the normal renal structure will be
replaced by the cysts and the normal renal function will decline gradually. Then
in clinical, there will be symptoms of hypertension or the abnormal
manifestations of urine routine test and renal function. Therefore, when the
size of cysts is large than 3 centimetres, there are obvious symptoms and
patients need to adopt some treatment.
Then how can we treat PKD? Since we can do nothing change the genes, the
therapies in clinical all proceed from the cysts. At present, the most effective
method is combining the Chinese medicine with Western medicine. During the
treatment, the Western medicine aims at and eliminates symptoms, and its effects
are relatively rapid. Meanwhile the Chinese medicine treat cysts from their
source by stop the secretion of cysts liquid and contracting the cysts.
More specifically, Chinese medicine can inactivate the cysts epithelial cells
and make them lose parts secretion activity. Then they won't secrete liquid any
more and the cysts won't grow any more. However, the cysts are still there, the
large cysts still can affect the health of patients.
The good news is that the Chinese medicine can improve the blood circulation
and permeability of cysts wall and adsorption the cysts liquid. Then the liquid
can be eliminated out of human body with urine. By this, this disease can be
treated fundamentally.
On the basis of combining Chinese medicine with western medicine, we
developed out Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy. It takes advantage the most
advanced technology in the world to make the Chinese medicine superfinely
shattered, by which the active substance can be activated. Then with the assist
of effective osmosis devices, the medicine powder can be permeated to renal
lesions directly by external applications. By this therapy, patients don't have
to suffer the pain of oral medicine and operations. And after superfinely
shattered, the medicine effects are greatly improved and the effects are more
rapid. So it is a brand new method in treating PKD and clinical practice has
proven it is a effective therapy with promising future. If you want to learn
