As a type of genetic disease, Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) has various
complications. Experts remind that patients of PKD often are accompanied with
polcystic liver disease, pancreatic cysts and intracranial multiple aneurysms.
Among them, the possibility of intracranial multiple aneurysms is relatively
low, but it is the most dangerous complications of PKD. Because the intracranial
multiple aneurysms usually have no symptoms at beginning and once it attack, its
damage is deadly. The aneurysms may rupture at any time and cause the death of
patients.
Why is intracranial multiple aneurysms so dangerous? Intracranial multiple
aneurysms is the abnormal bulging part on the cerebral artery wall. It can
attack at any ages, the common attack age is 40-66. In clinical, its symptoms
include spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage, cerebral vasospasm and oculomotor
paralysis and etc. According to researches, the first rupture of aneurysma may
cause the 30-40 percent of mortality, and among these cases, more than a half
die in 48 hours. As for the alive cases, 1/3 of them will have hemorrhage again.
However, at present, with the development of diagnosis equipment, operations and
other medical technologies, a lot of progress has been achieved and the
treatment for intracranial multiple aneurysms has achieved very good effects. As
for the treatment of this disease, prevention and early-diagnosis are the key
points. Especially for the people with the medical history of this disease. At
present, cerebral angiography is the most precise assistant diagnosis method. By
CT, we can find the focus of aneurysma. Besides, by MRI, we can not only find
the aneurysma but also see the lateral thrombus. Once be diagnoses as
intracranial multiple aneurysms, patients must treat it immediately to prevent
the dander of large haemorrhage. Besides, in daily life, patients must avoid the
fluctuation of their mood and external stimulations both of body and mind. And
control their blood pressure at an ideal level.
